Along for the Ride
Greg Lahti Fine ArtOrnate Mardi Gras masks cascade through the composition alongside bottles of Abita beer and Jameson whiskey, their theatrical faces emerging from swirling feathers and tangled strands of beads. The predominantly cool green and teal palette bathes the scene in an almost underwater quality, transforming familiar carnival objects into mysterious, dreamlike artifacts. Bold brushwork captures the glossy surfaces of glass bottles while softer passages dissolve the masks' features into flowing organic forms.
